Honda’s Insight hybrid car was the first of its kind to be sold and before Toyota made an entry in the hybrid market. The Honda Insight was not received in the same way as the Prius by Toyota but it opened the consumer market for hybrid vehicles. A multi-awarded hybrid car and priced at approximately $27,000 is the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It is viewed by many as the best hybrid in the US. A car which is believed to produce no emissions whatsoever is the i-MiEV from Mitsubishi. Mitsubish became among the firs automobile manufacturers to develop an electric automobile in Japan.
